Fulfilling Your God Given Destiny  

You know, God has made each of us with special talents and abilities and a desire to succeed at using these talents for him to help others. 

When we get caught in a rut and aren’t pushing forward to fulfill this destiny, then we lose our passion for life and find ourselves frustrated and “spinning our wheels”. 

It’s also important to know however, that God loves us no matter where we’re at and no matter what we have achieved. Tomorrow is a new day and even the time we have left in our day is a good place to change gears and start thinking, dreaming and working again to fulfill this in our lives. 

After listening to Joel Oilstone talk about this, I instantly realized what I loved to do and what o wish I could do more for God and for people. I honestly love to write and explore new places and share life with others and help others with the insights God has given me. 

We were just in Washington and went to Cape Disappointment this last weekend while we were visiting and helping family.

While we were there, we saw some really beautiful sites of the Washington coast, beautiful waves and sunsets and had a lot of smiles and happiness being around family. I took a lot of beautiful pictures and shared some of these with you in my blogs. However, without God in the center of all of this - there is an emptiness. A beautiful sunset without a connection to God and his love makes the sunset seem cold and empty. But knowing God loves you and is working on your behalf to help you and support you and help you to grow are encouraging. When you truly know that God gave his life for you and cares about you like no other - it changes things and you feel alive to want to love him back and to do all you can to let others know about this awesome love too. When you lift up your hands to thank God for his love, it allows you to open your heart even more to receive back his affection for you.

For those couples so eager to call it quits and throw in the towel on your relationship because everything isn't 'perfect'...here is some food for thought: 
 
 
"Lifelong commitment is not what most people think it is. It's not waking up every morning to make breakfast and eat together. It's not cuddling in bed until both of you fall asleep. It's not a clean home filled with laughter and love making every day.

It's someone who steals all the covers and snores, it's slammed doors and a few harsh words at times. 
It's stubbornly disagreeing and giving each other the silent treatment until your hearts heal, and then forgiveness. 
It's coming home to the same person every day that you know loves and cares about you in spite of, and because of, who you are.
It's laughing about the one time you accidentally did something stupid. 
It's about dirty laundry and unmade beds. 
It's about helping each other with the hard work of life. 
It's about swallowing the nagging words instead of saying them out loud. 
It's about eating the easiest meal you can make and sitting down together at a late hour because you both had a crazy day. 
It's when you have an emotional breakdown and your love lays down with you and holds you, and tells you everything is going to be okay. And you believe them. 
It's about still loving someone even though sometimes they make you absolutely insane. 
Loving someone isn't always easy, sometimes it's hard. But, it is amazing and comforting and one of the best things you will ever experience."

What are We Doing With Our Life?

  When you mix, love, joy, peace, patience kindness together, like "mixing them together in a soup" it forms a beautiful life. You find that's the definition of God. That's who He is. And  that same love is what He wants to give to us too... When you look at what "LOVE" is, here are a few descriptions: "But  the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.... " Galatians 5:22-23.  You know when you think about those qualities, they're pretty great, but when you "mix" them all up together, you come up with something beautiful . That's who God is. He's patient with us, gentle, He's kind and faithful to us. Think about that for a second. Not only that but God gives joy (happiness) and peace.  In I Corinthians it talks about how love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy..."  Think about that for a second.
