Beckah Shae, Faith Hope and Love Its funny, I was just talking to my son and daughter about the true meaning of love and how vital it is to know Gods unconditional love, that gives without expecting to get back.  My daughter mentioned how I Corinthians 13 where it talks about the qualities of love. The chapter ends saying that there is FAITH, HOPE but that the  greatest is LOVE! When you reach out and touch God, you are touching something tangible. Though you can't see God, you are still touching his very presence and it is made of real qualities - those of love.  Just like when you touch a needle you feel the sharpness of it, so also when you touch God you will find yourself feeling how faithful God is, how gentle he is, how kind and compassionate he is. You will see hope for your life and know that God has faith in you. Jesus Culture, Rooftops I sat in my bed on my twenty two foot Columbia sailboat this last weekend listening to this song. While I was listening I felt my heart wanting to touch God. I felt His presence and there's really no way to explain the conversation I had with God next as it involved tears and things so deep in my heart, I have trouble explaining them. Savior King by Hillsong. But this is more that just one song. Its an hour of awesome songs to sing to God with while your working on the computer. I love it. Have listened to it for a week almost every single day. The third song is my favorite! Enjoy! Ever Feel Like Your Wasting Your Time? In Ecclesiastes it says that Solomon felt like everything he did was a waste of time... ... yet Solomon still confessed that a wise man has eyes in his head while the fool walks in darkness. Wisdom is better that foolishness just as light is better than darkness Ecc2:11-14.... So even in a world where everything we do will pass away when we die, the choices we make with wisdom will be better than those made in foolishness. And beyond this, what we do for God will live forever with God and with those that are His! I love Beckah Shae's music. She just loves to be in Gods presence and bring you there with her!  This last summer when I was going through a very difficult time, I would end my day just listening to her connecting with the Lord. "Oh, you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given you as well." I was especially struck by the part in the verse that says: 'do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink..." Setting your heart on something is the key to this verse. Proverbs says to "guard your heart with all diligence." Guarding your heart is what requires energy, thought and FOCUS.  Jesus is challenging us! He is trying to get us to TRUST God with 'you of little faith'. He is trying to get us to get our thoughts off of seeking after our own selves and money and onto helping others and things that really matter looking back after ten years. Good morning! What a beautiful day here in Pasadena. A time to remember how much God loves us and is helping us. Sometimes life gets really hard and its difficult to believe this. That's where having real faith comes in. Developing trust in God and dependance on His help are the next steps after doing all you can with our limited resources. To be able to stand strong in God, you need two things: 1) A real living relationship with God 2) A solid foundation understanding who God is through the Bible HAVE AN AWESOME DAY growing closer to HIM!

Notice how the foLlowing verse says to be 'like minded.' If you could give someone a boxed up defintion of practically living for God, this would come very close: Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.  1 Peter 3:8-12

In Proverbs it says the wise woman "...considers a field and buys it." Proverbs 31:16 This verse really helped me. I've been inspecting so many business the last few months and have looked into them and 'kicked the tires', so to speak. It seems so many online business are just out to try and gouge you for money with little return. But God is all about giving and says that when we 'seek His kingdom first, all these [other things] will be given to us also."* So God wants us to be concerned about helping people and He will take care of helping us. Along with this He has given us the principle to buy carefully when looking to make a monetary return. *Paraphrased.

This verse stood out to me today and gave me encouragement. I feel like God is in control of all the things that seem like I have little control over: "I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? Worry is really not trusting God. It is a way for the devil to get us off the road of having Gods peace and doing the right things, to taking the wrong actions without Gods help. Something to think about (especially talking to myself!). Great verse for today: "present your requests to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Have a day without worry (I'm speaking to myself too!)

Thankful to God to wake up this morning to such a beautiful sunny day. Great verse: "Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with love and compassion." Psalm 103:34 What a cool sand castle!!! Makes me want to go to the beach - but blah, have to work! lol! Still, just like the sandcastle today has great potential! :-)

Someone asked the question: "is not satisfying your spouse in bed a sin?" My answer to that question is: "Well, it could be. Here's some ideas that can shed some light on it: Honestly, whatever is not done with Gods love within you is not of God and sin. That doesn't mean that trivial things like eating breakfast have to 'be done with Gods love'. It just means having Gods love in your heart as you go about your day. The big question is are we using sexuality to manipulate our spouses behavior? Well, this is NOT unconditional love - I can tell you that.
